This one looks very good though, i know what you are saying, but on my x100 pro, my first 3 jobs paid for it!, not much alternative. because the tool works good Ps. the way that i look at it the tool worth one A100 module!
I got the basic configuration of x300 dp, then I upgraded to the full version, update for $199

by all accounts its the dogs doodahs on anything Honda including rematching ecu after flat battery, and as it includes all the green units F100 to F109 it seems to have a lot of token free coverage including it claims Toyota G and H reset, if just 70% of the claimed coverage works then its a lot of programmer for the money and paid for and in profit after half a dozen jobs.its one of those units that may or may not be top draw but is easy to get payback on
I am going to buy it in a few weeks time, at the Mechanex show in Dubai, hopefully cheaper, and a good chance to talk to the supplier. will post when I have it. I don’t know about H and G type, but I have used X100 pro on Honda Crv, pcm matching, after flat battery, the annoying thing is only accepting 15/16 digit Vin(cant remember), not 17 digit, but it worked. Although I bought my x100 pro 2 years ago, I can still update mine, strange!
they have released a green unit for Toyota G and H chip resetting, they claim that this as well as all the green units are on the x300 dp Auto Key Programmer , what works and what does not will at some point be another thread i imagine as is the norm.those i’ve spoke to that have it are very happy with it, has its fails but successes too.when i look at the new truecode Ford ftc4 and PSA pin reading release it has same coverage exactly as last update on the x300 dp and green units, though i’d trust chris more than a chinese tool as he at leasts tests his releases prior to release, and isn’t greedy.
i have the g-scan tab, great addition to the arsenal.I’ve ordered an OBDSTAR x300 dp, mainly for Honda token free and for the f100 to f109 units coverage, i spoke to them at length on it before ordering, i made it clear i was looking at buying either all 9 green units or the x300 dp, or id buy the x300 dp and any green units not covered on it, they assured me id be wasting my money buying both as all green units included on x300 dp, so i’ve ordered one which will be here later in week.i have it in writing that key master dp includes all functions on green units, so we will see, if the case the cost of this unit will have paid back in 5 days once i receive it as have some nice jobs booked in that it can be tried on, if it works its paid back straight away.
the green stand alone units, F100, F101, F102,F103, F104, F105, F106, F107, F108, F109.a lot rave over the ford/mazda unit, nissan unit, suzuki unit and psa unit. just released toyota g and h unit as well as othersi got g-scan tab from hickleys, blinding kit, gonna get some use this one
It’s excellent on Honda, including rematching ecu and immo after flat battery, paid for itself on these alone, i’ve done odd new model Fords that other kit has struggled with, Honda its excellent, late Ford its good, been reliable on Hyundai and Kia though i use Gscan on these now, Mazda its very good on. its bailed me out when mainstream units have failed. it has its issues but has paid its way many times over for me.
I can reset G-key with Obdstar, not H-key. Programming H-key in Virgin box works fine. For smart H reset, i use Tango. These are European types.
Toyota Prado 2008 add spare key ok, had to reset immo.
Ford Mondeo 2005 add key: failed, erase key: failed (Ford Mazda before 2008, best is T300. All new programmer have bad support for older car)

Over the last few weeks I’ve been getting a random “esp inoperative” warning. It doesn’t come on every time I drive the car and it’s usually off after restart.
Last night, I got a “right side low beam out”. Car has an aftermarket hid kit that’s been installed for about a year or so. I replaced the ballast with a spare this morning and it worked.
Took a 300 mile trip today. After about 150 miles the esp inop message popped up. Didn’t think much of it. Drove another hour and got a warning that the right side low beam was out again. Shortly after I stopped for gas and upon restarting car, I got all kinds of errors. Esp, abs, srs, speedtronic, etc.
I turned the car off and went inside the store at the gas station. When I got back in the car, it wouldn’t start. Nothing happened when turning key. No crank etc. after 5-10 mins it did start. I headed back on the road, and noticed it wasn’t shifting right. From a stop it was revving a lot to get going. All the warning lights were still on, the speedometer needle was bouncing around and the nav was (and still) stuck about 50 miles back from where I am now. Once on the highway it ran fine.
I was able to get my bt obd2 scanner and torque working at one point but it no longer does. It showed 14 codes at that time but I wasn’t able to jot them down.
At this point, the car is home. It starts every time but all the same warnings flash and as soon as it starts, the cooling fan is on full blast and won’t go off. At one point I also got a red battery icon. The battery is about 6 months old. It’s an AGM from advanced auto. I’ve since put it on a charger and fully charged it and all the same issues persist.
I thought this was an alternator or voltage regulator but since it’s charged now and having the same problem I’m not sure. Maybe an ecu issue but hoping someone has some ideas on how to proceed before towing to dealer.
Check the voltage when the car is running. You can switch to the voltage display by switching the cluster to temperature and then hitting the odometer reset button three times with the ignition on, but without the engine running. Then once you start it, it should tell you the voltage. All those errors sound like a low voltage problem. You also have a battery control module. Search the old threads about that one. Usually voltage problems are either alternator, voltage regulator or battery control module. Your esp inoperative is a separate problem. Probably the steering angle sensor. If you search the threads you’ll find that too, there’s also a youtube video on how to replace it. You should get a real scanner that can do MB codes. I like to use a cheap Launch x431 easydiag plus 2.0.
It’s about $50 on www.fobdii.com. Make sure you get the plus version which comes with software for 2 vehicle manufacturer, there are cheaper versions, but it doesn’t come with the 2 free vehicle manufacturer software and it’s another $50 to add a vehicle manufacturer. Worked to tell me I had a bad steering angle sensor (it can also be a few other things like a wheel speed sensor, brake light switch or yaw sensor).
Finally:
Car ended up going to the dealer. They’re telling me the central gateway is/was wet and showing signs of corrosion and requires replacing. Will be a few days before that’s done. They don’t know if that is everything it will need at this point but they tell me they can’t diagnose further until that is replaced.. Looking at about $850 for this repair.
It went there for diagnostic since my friends shop was unable to read from OBD with snap-on (normally he can). Dealer was unable to connect with MB Star SD C4. When they told me it was the CG, I decided to let them do this repair. If they’d told me it was an alternator and voltage regulator, I’d have had them replaced elsewhere or done it myself. When I brought it to the dealer, I was certain that replacing either of those items wasn’t going to restore all the cars systems or dash readouts or OBD. My guess was a bad alt or VR took out the ECU.
VVDI2 will display vehicle information, VIN, KM, key cutting code etc
Select Key position: KeyID1
Click on Make Dealer Key
Select “Use try start method to start engine, no need working key or original dump file”, click on Next
VVDI2 prompts lost all working key you will gave 64 attempts, do you want to continue, click on YES
Do you already make new key at key 1? If already made new key (Already saved new EEPROM dump), press YES
Please use current key to start the engine, if start success press YES, else No If cannot start engine, please take out the key and insert to programmer before press NO Is the engine start now?
Click Yes to continue
Then VVDI2 BMW will display CAS3+ ISN, copy the ISN code
BMW FEM/BDC function is not default included in CGDI Prog BMW MSV80 key programmer ! If your device only supports BMW CAS1,CAS2,CAS3 CAS4 /CAS 4+ , but you need FEM/BDC function, CGDI FEM/BDC authorization.
First you should get the CGDI Prog software activated.
Open CGDI software, select FEM/BDC Key Match
If CGDI Prompts “Feature is unauthorized”, it means the function is not yet activated. Click OK to continue
Select “Authorize”
Copy the S/N code to engineer, please stay on this interface
We will send you the authorization code. Paste the code and click on “Authorize”
